Hi everyone I learned a ton of new and old information at the tech conference and would like to share it with everyone - rather than overwhelm you (as I'm feeling right now) I thought I would bring it to you a little at a time, here is the first installment.
Just a reminder of technology subscriptions that we already have;
If you haven't tried netTrekker yet you should. It is a service that helps with finding relevant websites for whatever topic you are searching. I often use it for lesson plan ideas.

another useful tip when searching include the words "inquiry lesson" for many hands-on type lessons (e.g. inquiry lesson molecules)
The second one we have is Discovery Education - this is more than just a video streaming site, they have lesson planning - teacher resources and so much more.
I will send more information on tools from DE in the future as I Discover them myself. If more people used it maybe we could talk the powers-that-be into an plus package upgrade which would open us to many interactive activities, labs and games. (I have a 30 day trial coming of the plus pkg for us).
